A note from our Managing Editor

Editorial Support & Timeline

As a writer for CovalentCareers, you’ll receive personalized editorial support. Our managing editor will work with you throughout the writing process, from brainstorming ideas to organizing and polishing your writing.

Because we now have a large number of writers contributing to the site, our publication calendar tends to be set up to two months in advance. This gives us time to work together to make your writing the best it can be.

We provide a style guide, writing coaching, and we’re working to bring you webinars on writing, blogging, and SEO tips!

Compensation Structure

And, of course, there’s the financial compensation. First-time writers are asked to contribute one piece of unpaid content—for this reason, we suggest that your first piece be something shorter. We pay a flat rate of $50 per article, with bonuses of $25 and up for 6,000 pageviews or 200 social shares. For sponsored posts and columns, we will negotiate higher rates with you.

We promote your content on NGM’s social platforms, but we also encourage you to promote your own writing — and that of your colleagues! By starting conversations, we build community. (We firmly believe that there’s no such thing as over-promoting quality writing.)
